Nita has been with Veritas Prep since November of 2007. Although an alumna of UCLA Anderson’s Fully-Employed MBA (FEMBA) program, as a candidate torn between the two pathways, Nita applied to both part-time and full-time programs and was accepted to both. While a student, she served as a FEMBA Ambassador (formerly called FEMBA Superfriends) and also supported the Admissions Office as a student interviewer her first and second years, and joined the Admissions Committee team in her third year. Since graduating, she has continued as part of the Alumni Admissions Team.
Nita has successfully helped applicants both domestically and internationally through their MBA application journey, from finalizing school selection, revising resumes, fine-tuning essays and practicing for interviews, including non-traditional candidates (more experienced applicants, low GPA and low GMAT/GRE scores).

Nita was a wonderful consultant and I could not have made it through the Anderson application process without her. We worked together for many months, well before any pieces were in place to start developing my narrative or application. She provided critical advice every step of the way and always had insightful comments on my resume and essays. I am confident I submitted my best application to Anderson, and she was crucial to this being the case.
I worked with Nita for my part-time MBA applications to UCLA Anderson FEMBA and UW Foster TMMBA program. It was quite easy to collaborate with her as we went through countless revisions of essays and resume. Since I come from a niche technical engineering background, the initial draft of my resume was full of technical lingos, and I had no clue how to modify it for non-technical AdCom committee member. With her vast experience, Nita helped me to craft a resume such that it focused on quantifying results and accomplishments and showcase any teamwork and leadership opportunities where possible. I did not have a clear framework for portraying personal experiences that shaped my personality character for the UCLA personality development essay. Nita helped me brainstorm the right examples I can focus on to include in this essay. As a result, we could craft an essay that effectively highlighted the unique traits of my personality. I was impressed with Nita’s impeccable editing and proofreading skills for the essay writing when meeting the word count limit. Using Veritas Prep’s unique MBA Game Plan approach, Nita helped me with SWOT analysis to identify weak areas in my application. As a result, I could incorporate that feedback into other application components to turn those weaknesses into strengths. Overall, I am delighted to have a coach like Nita who could do hand-holding in the cumbersome MBA application process. I highly recommend aspiring MBA candidates to work with Nita.
I was admitted to a top 20 school with a scholarship and I know I could not have done it without Nita. She managed my expectations at the very beginning and told me where my weaknesses were and what actionable steps I should take early on, which led to three interviews from four of the top 20 schools that I applied to. She kept a timeline for me and proactively asked for check-ins/updates to make sure I was on track for each school’s deadline and helped me to prioritize both my time and responsibilities. Nita helped craft my story by asking clarifying questions and suggesting ideas to shape the story, but never pushed for anything so that my story remained authentic. Her vast experience working with clients really stood out as she was able to share stories and precedents to answer my questions. Nita’s supportive and positive mindset was always encouraging to me as the entire MBA process had many different components and can drive one crazy at times. My essays became much more eloquent and structured from my initial draft, all thanks to Nita who was extremely responsive with reviewing. She was able to think both big-picture and dig into the details, from highlighting themes and examples to adjusting specific words so that they conveyed the right emotion. For mock interviews, Nita was helpful in telling me where my answers were completely off so I knew exactly what not to say and how I should think about/word my answers for the real interviews. Outside of her MBA consulting life, Nita is an amazing individual who is always supporting her local communities during her free time, an aspect that adds to her already fantastic personality and work ethic. It was truly a pleasure to work with Nita and I would be happy to recommend her to any aspiring MBA candidate.
Nita’s support and experience is incredible valuable so that you can put your best foot forward. Her strategic insights will really make a difference. Nita is extremely well organized, and quick to respond to any questions. I highly recommend Nita.
Darden was, without a doubt, a reach school for me and Nita was crucial in helping me present the best possible version of myself to the admissions committee. I’m so excited to be attending in the fall and I could not be more pleased with the process and the outcome. When I lost my job in the midst of my MBA applications, Nita was a massive encouragement and doubled down with me to stay focused and work to submit the best possible applications I could. Not only is she highly organized and extremely responsive, but she helped me reflect on my work experience and goals to craft a compelling narrative for my applications. As an engineer, I knew I would need the outside help in communicating my story to compete with other candidates of more traditional backgrounds. As we went through countless rounds of essay and resume revisions, Nita was generous with her praise, but also wasn’t afraid to point out areas for improvement. She encouraged me to dream big and narrow in on specific, achievable goals for post-MBA. In the final stretches before interviews, she conducted mock interviews with me and lent me advice from her vast experience in conducting actual admissions interviews to help me avoid pitfalls and bolster my confidence. I have no doubt that I was a far more “needy” candidate than typical, and Nita more than matched the effort I put forth, going above and beyond time and again.
