As someone who didn’t know what to expect from the MBA consulting process, Pascal wildly exceeded all expectations and, in no small part, became my greatest cheerleader throughout the process. As someone who genuinely didn’t think they had what it took to get accepted to my reach school, Pascal not only helped me believe in myself but devised a deftly crafted roadmap to help me attain this goal. All this he did while being one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve had the pleasure to get to know. I’d spoken to a lot of different advisors from multiple consulting firms before deciding on Pascal and Menlo. All of the advisors were professional and knowledgeable about the MBA admission process. Pascal was different – the warmth and energy that radiates from his is tangible. He is not only incredibly well versed in the art of MBA applications but is candid, thoughtful and a joy to be around. I have a really unorthodox background. And not in an obviously favourable way. Never had a conventional job. My goal was to get into LBS and land an offer at an MBB London office.

When I reached out to some of the other top tier admissions consulting firms, almost all expressed their doubts. One even outright told me to forget about MBB. And I appreciate their honesty.

Pascal was equally honest but the difference was that he truly believed in me, and that we could get this done. And that’s my top tip: go with someone who really believes in you, because that type of confidence is contagious and you’ll need it throughout the process.

Pascal won’t write your essay. He’ll do something much better. He’ll help you find your drive and build it into a narrative that is genuine and compelling. I cannot stress enough how valuable this will be; not just for admissions, but more importantly for recruiting.

Defining my narrative and ambitions with Pascal really allowed me to excel during interviews and helped me land my dream job at an MBB London office during a year when recruiting for consulting (or anything for that matter) was really tough.

The service is not cheap, but I can vouch that it is the best of the best. It’s a holistic approach and includes elements of executive coaching. The only caveat is that you need to trust the process and commit. Share as much as you can about yourself and put the work in. You won’t regret it.

As a round three applicant starting the process in February for end of March deadlines following a tech-layoff, I was in full sprint mode to complete my MBA applications. Pascal is a fantastic consultant! I initially chose him as I was interested in LBS, and his tenure at IESE, as well as his international perspective on the often overly US-focused MBA process, was a strong draw for me. With an undergrad GPA of 2.8, I feared that my application would be summarily rejected by all M7 and T15 MBA AdComs. I worked with Pascal for most of the summer of 2022, getting ready for Round 1 admissions. From the beginning, Pascal was an incredible asset in helping me achieve my objective of admission to a top-tier business school.

Pascal is incredibly flexible and understanding of personal circumstances, which was a great help as much of the work we did was while I was at sea on a warship, without much in the way of good Internet connectivity. Moving through past the application stages, Pascal was again an incredible help in helping me to prepare for my interviews. His background as an Admissions Director at IESE gives him a detailed understanding of what the schools are looking for in the applicants they are inviting to interview.

Ultimately, I can definitively say that I would never have been able to acheive my result without Pascal’s help and guidance. I can’t thank him enough for helping to make my successful transition out of the military (and my future dreams) possible.

I worked with Pascal for over half a year on the whole MBA process, from essay ideation to essay writing, and the interview process. Pascal and the team at Menlo are proactive in providing instruction on the basics of the application. Pascal himself demonstrated he could provide excellent advice and feedback during the planning, execution, and review of the application components. He was able to provide the perspective of someone who might have to review hundreds of documents for dozens of applicants. He was easy to work with and very flexible in his approach. He repeatedly emphasized the importance of two things: being authentic and being memorable. He was candid when he thought I was not effectively being authentic and memorable. From simple tasks like producing a succinct resume to more difficult tasks like telling meaningful and unique anecdotes in the requested essays, Pascal motivated me to produce a better representation of who I am and what my accomplishments have been than I could have done myself.

In addition to the invaluable coaching, Pascal also helped guide me toward being very selective about which schools to apply to. Being a leader in a demanding junior executive role, I believe this perspective was also critical because it taught me to narrow my applications to just two schools: Sloan in Boston and Wharton in Philadelphia. If I had applied to more, I doubt I could have given each application the attention each deserved.

Pascal and Menlo Coaching tailor their approach to your specific needs and while I don’t have experience with other organizations, the value of their assistance speaks for itself. I soon found out that I was admitted to both programs. Without their advice and coaching, I suspect I would not be in the same position I am today – having the difficult choice of deciding between two excellent EMBA programs.

Pascal is an oracle. He possesses a prescient, near-omnipotent ability to pierce the opaque veil that is the admissions committee. How does he accomplish such feats? By focusing on you, the applicant. Pascal had me walk him through my entire life, asking questions and steering the conversation as we went. By the time we were done, I had discovered so much about myself that I had never even considered.

With this newfound knowledge, I drafted my first essay confident that Pascal would love it. He hated it and made me redo it. I thought he was being extreme until I realized that I was typing what I thought the admissions committee wanted to hear. I was fake and inauthentic. Pascal immediately identified this.

The next draft went much better and that’s when Pascal told me to apply to HBS. I had never even considered it. I had bad grades and went to a small state school, but none of that mattered according to Pascal because I had a story to tell and he would help me tell it.

Even after submitting my application, I was extremely weary and didn’t believe HBS would ever consider me for an interview until they did. Pascal went out of his way to conduct mock interviews and provide additional coaching and feedback. The interview at HBS was a walk in the park compared to the preparation I undertook.

In the end, I was accepted at four of the very best business schools including HBS and none of that would have been possible if not for Pascal and his immense talent to put you, the applicant, front, and center. The secret is to tell your story and no one can help you tell it better than Pascal.

I had a truly incredible experience working with Pascal on my applications. We worked together for 18 months as I went through the application process, and he offered his undivided attention and support throughout every step of the process. Pascal was always able to accommodate my schedule, and he made himself available to talk or review my essays regardless of the time of day.

His guidance went far beyond just the application, as he encouraged me to think deeply about who I was as a person and who I wanted to become. This level of self-reflection is something I couldn’t have achieved by myself, and it made a huge improvement in the quality of my applications and my ability to communicate effectively during my interviews.

Pascal also drove me to exceed my expectations in regard to my test scores. My GMAT had plateaued in the low 700s – not only did he push me to take the GMAT five times, but he also strongly suggested I switch to the GRE after I had exhausted all of my GMAT attempts. I was frustrated, exhausted, and discouraged, but Pascal helped me find another gear in regard to my work ethic. I ultimately scored 330+ on my first GRE attempt – a score I never would have achieved without Pascal pushing me to succeed.

As a candidate with a 3.2 GPA in undergrad, I was pleasantly surprised with my results. I submitted 8 applications in R1, received 7 interviews, and was admitted to 6 schools. I will be attending Wharton in the fall, which felt like a huge stretch when I began the process. Pascal’s guidance made all of the difference and having him as my consultant was worth every penny.

Other than that, having the Menlo team was a great asset as well, for all the resources they shared, the help in reviewing my resume, a mock TBD, etc. – all of which were included in the one-time fee.

Pascal is a phenomenal consultant whom I had the pleasure of working with as a re-applicant. I was apprehensive about working with an admissions consultant again, but Pascal is truly in a league of his own.

For some context, I had worked with a different admissions consulting company in the previous application cycle and was roundly rejected. It was admittedly a tough application year but I was devastated and demoralized. I was apprehensive about working with an admissions consultant again; the process can often feel so transactional and impersonal.

Pascal completely changed the experience for me. He is markedly different from any consultant I’ve spoken to or worked with before. He is so compassionate, thoughtful, and insightful. He really takes the time to get to know you and your past experiences, both professional and personal. I really felt like he cared, which made the application experience so much better. He’s great at delving into your life story and picking up on things you might not have even realized are important. He helped me craft a clear, compelling story to tell to AdComs, which I struggled with previously because my career path is non-traditional and a bit scattered.

For anyone who might be concerned that his professional experience is primarily in Europe, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. He is extremely experienced with top American MBA programs, as he is with European ones. The vast majority of his students apply and are accepted to US programs, myself included.

I am pleased to report that this cycle, I was offered interviews at multiple M7 schools and accepted to every one I interviewed at. A complete 180 from my experience last year, when I received zero interview invites. Pascal was a key difference-maker and I could not recommend him enough.

From the first time I spoke to Pascal, I could tell he was different from other consultants. During the free 30-minute consultation I had with him I could tell he cared. In the end, I got into multiple top schools that I no doubt wouldn’t have been able to without his help. I even received a $90,000 scholarship at one of them! If I had to give Pascal a rating of 1-10 I would give him an 11. If you need that extra push that will get you into the school of your dreams Pascal is the guy for you. I can’t recommend him enough.

I knew that getting into a top 10 MBA program is important for me to even consider getting an MBA when I started my MBA admission journey in 2020. After breaking the 700 GMAT barrier, I decided to work with the best admission consultant out there and Pascal’s name came up multiple times during my due diligence. After our introductory meeting, I realized that Pascal would be the right person to work with to attain my goal.

And I was proven right. During our weekly calls, Pascal took the time to listen to my stories. The best part about him is that he encouraged me to go in-depth in every facet of my life during those sessions. The result of all his efforts is me getting into my top choice school in 2021. At the end of the process, I must say we have become great friends and I am grateful for all the work Pascal has done for me.

I come from a rather non-traditional background and was struggling to match those traditional profiles. Pascal really helped me to realize that there was no need to and, together, we were able to tell my story in a very sympathetic and compelling way.
Of course, an application does not end there. Compelling essays are usually followed up by an interview. I already mentioned the holistic approach. We took our time to practice. Possibly, even too much since, in all honesty, once your story is clear and compelling, delivering a strong interview is only a small step. It did pay off however, every interview invite was converted into an offer.
In the end, I greatly advise anyone who is seriously considering an MBA to hire an admission consultant. For me, Pascal was a great stress relief and helped me to stay on track. Moreover, we booked incredible results together. I applied to 6 programs and got accepted into 4, waitlisted at another. Among my offers are top international programs, an M7 program and a scholarship at a top 10 program.

Candidly, I underestimated how arduous the MBA application process would be for me.
