Hi Mr. 2+2 Filipino Social Entrepreneur, I’ve worked with many Filipino (and deferred) applicants and I think your profile stands out well! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission. I like that you have an entrepreneurial hustle, despite coming from a family business background! HBS will like that you have shown a lot of initiative with your social media startup for Filipino migrant workers, legal advisory volunteering work, and other nonprofit work. I see that you have a robust GPA, although your GMAT score is slightly below the average for the 2+2 program. Do you have time to retake the GMAT? If so, even a 10-20 point boost would help. Your future goals make sense, and I like that you are also interested in education projects for …

Mr. 2+2 Filipino Social Entrepreneur – Thanks for posting your profile. Susan Cera here from Stratus.
Despite your GMAT being below the average, I suspect HBS may really like your profile. Your initiative in creating a social enterprise to support migrant workers is commendable. The fact that you intend to work in a family business in tech and continue to give back to your community by supporting others will play well. You are definitely different than the typical 2+2 candidate going into consulting or ibanking.
In your 20 years, you have already shown a habit of leadership and demonstrated that you are an engaged community citizen. Well done.
Wishing you all the best as you put the finishing touches on your essay!
