Hi Mr. Aspiring Tech Entrepreneur, This is Donna Bauman with Stratus Admissions and I am happy to provide some thoughts about your profile. Overall I am very impressed! It’s great that you have some exposure to fintech now with your financial services clients and I really like that you have demonstrated your ability to help clients get measurable results like saving $45M. You are not alone in having this career goal or background—so to stand out you have to do several things well. First your own accomplishments—the early promotion along with your strong stats all help. Your leadership role with healthcare org also impressive. Your work experience with financial services clients also helps give your fintech aspirations more credibility. Try to think about a particular project where you can show what you have learned and also what gaps you still have that the MBA can fill. Your school list—particularly Booth, CBS and Wharton are all excellent for your goals. For HBS be sure that this habit of leadership in all areas of your life is clear. It looks like you have the foundation for this. As long as you are looking at Booth, why not also look at Kellogg as well. Check out the FinTech@Kellogg club and their annual fintech conference.
