Hi Mr. Low Undergrad GPA, This is Donna Bauman with Stratus Admissions and first I want to give you the advice that you should focus on the positive. You could just as easily have called yourself Mr. High GMAT. The good news at least from a US MBA perspective is that having a lower international gpa is less troublesome than having a low gpa from the country you are applying to. You have solid consulting experience and some clear results. Taking any process from 2 weeks to 2 hours is a great win! You may be able to go deeper into how you accomplished this in one of your essay or short answer questions. You look like a self-starter and problem solver—finding the right data visualization tool is useful for any consulting firm. If there is any background information to provide some context for your lower undergrad gpa you could note this in the optional essay, but don’t make excuses. However if you also had a 40 hr a week job during college that would be useful for the admissions team to know to realize that your study time was limited. I think you could present quite favorably at your target programs. If you want to build on your healthcare expertise, you may want to focus on a healthcare industry group within MBB or pick a niche firm with a healthcare industry focus just so you are not stating your goals as so generally MBB. But lots to like—and focus on what you do have as strengths rather than headlining the one soft area of your application!
