That said, as a more experienced candidate, the Admissions Committee (AdCom) would be very interested in why you’re seeking an MBA now. Be sure to explain why you’d like to move towards the business side as a Technology Consultant. Which area of the MNC would you be interested in joining? Why? Apart from having a solid career goals story, also consider how you could beef up your academics. Your GPA and GMAT scores, being below the averages at Columbia could be a concern for AdCom.     I spent ~10 years with Duke Fuqua admissions committee and about half of that time evaluating and selecting applicants from India. While your 67% is decent (first class, I presume) your GRE is very low so you should plan to retake.

    You have more work experience and perhaps more exposure through your entrepreneurial ventures than the average candidate. Be sure to showcase how your background will add value to a business school class. You will absolutely need to clarify your goals. Why do you want to be a tech consultant at an MNC?
