Candidate:

Mr. Consulting To Corp Strat

About Me:

I spent 4 years at a boutique consulting firm specializing in Supply Chain Strategy and I earned multiple promotions and increasingly large project experience domestically and internationally. I attended an Honors College in my undergrad, and was awarded named merit scholarships, and won consulting competitions. I also achieved a Coursera certificate from Wharton to bolster my finance skills.

Details:

Undergrad School: Purdue University

Undergrad Major: Engineering

GPA: 3.43

GMAT: 700

Age: 26,  Ethnicity: White

Extracurriculars: Guest lecturer at top 25 business school for an undergrad course, Volunteer to review resumes for career center at alma mater, Mentor students at alma mater seeking careers in consulting

Work History:

Title: Senior Consultant, Strategy

Industry: Consulting

Company: Boutique Firm

Length of Employment: 3 yrs, 10 mos

Big Life Wins:

I grew up in a lower-middle-class household and my parents did not graduate college so one major success is beating the odds and using an inner-city public school education to get to this point in my career.

I am one of 2 (out of 10) at my firm to achieve two promotions in under 2 years and I regularly lead interactions with C-suite clients.

Post MBA Goal:

I want to pivot from supply chain strategy to corporate strategy at a Fortune 500 company and hope to someday transition to an operational leadership role, owning a P&L and leading a division. From there I plan to scratch the entrepreneurial itch and eventually move to an EIR role at a VC/growth fund. Stretch goal to be a trustee at my undergrad.
