Iām a first-generation Asian-American, who initially started at Big 4 in audit, during which I got my CPA. I made a lateral move to another Big 4 firm where I moved into the deal advisory and strategy group working specifically in the M&A financial due diligence subgroup. After 2 years, I moved into a Corporate Strategy & Development role at a F10.

One of my largest wins was being able to transfer to USC. I didnāt have the best high school grades and so I ended up getting rejected by most of the schools I have applied to. I ended up at a state college initially, but after studying hard, I got a 3.97 GPA and was able to successfully transfer to USC, which was at the time my dream school.
After my MBA, I want to pivot into MBB and work on large-scale strategy and operational-focused projects. Eventually with the long-term goal of creating my own boutique strategy firm.

This is an excellent profile. I especially like the tenacity you showed in getting into USC, your dream school. With a 760 GMAT and your stellar career background, I can’t imagine that you would be turned down at Chicago Booth. You clearly have worked hard and accomplished a great deal. The big issue for you will be which invite you’ll ultimately accept because I predict you will be admitted to the majority of programs to which you are applying. I see nothing in this profile that would hold you back other than a 3.2 GPA which you have more than made up for with your GMAT score and your career achievements. Unless your recommenders torpedo you or you really blow the admissions interview–neither of which …
