I come from a tier-2 town in India. My undergraduate college is a new, but prestigious, liberal arts university in India. I have been involved with my family’s luxury goods startup since its Inception during my second year in college. I joined it full time post my graduation and have been handling the marketing and sales for the brand ever since.
I have two questions regarding my candidacy:
1) How will working in a small family startup be perceived by the adcoms? I have no big industry experience. 2) How will my undergrad college be perceived? It is well respected as the best liberal arts college in India but I fear I might not be considered golden in comparison to ivy league grads.
