Hi Mr. Freemason! This is Kate Richardson, Senior Admissions Consultant. I’m glad that you applied to the evening program at Kellogg, as I think your profile fits well with their class which has an age range of 24-39. I think the program would also align well with your general management goals, while hopefully opening doors to new fields via the connections you’ll make. If you’ve been invited to interview, that’s a great signal on your chances, so I’ll put them above 50% now. I think Kellogg will value your military service and leadership, your team lead experience, and your adventurous spirit. If you haven’t completed your interview yet, be sure to use that to not just explain your goals and what you want to gain …

Good luck!
Hi Mr. Freemason, In looking at your profile I think the weekend/evening MBA program at Kellogg could be a great fit. I think the deadline for the summer start just passed however. Applications are currently open on the Executive MBA for a Jan 2021 start. I suggest you reach out to the admissions team at Kellogg to determine what program may be the best fit for you. I’m not sure that your Freemason involvement will factor in any material way in the decision process—but certainly you will want to show impact and leadership in your activities and in seeking out diverse communities and collaborating with others. I suggest either the weekend/evening or exec programs because with your extensive work experience you will likely find more peers in these programs rather than in FT where the average age is about 10 yrs. less. That’s not to say you can’t apply to FT—but again that’s where having a conversation with the Kellogg admissions team may help you make that decision. Best wishes!
