I am an Indian student and intend to apply in the 2020-21. I am passlionate about tech in business and its potential to give smaller businesses a fighting chance. In order to expose myself to the ground realities of businesses I have worked as an independent consultant with private companies in the manufacturing, construction and hospitality spaces, helping them in areas such as cost efficiency, proposal analysis, business development, tax law compliance, etc. Further, to acquaint myself with problems faced by people in lower social strata and to help them, I have worked with an NGO for the past 3 years.

Big Life Wins:

Recently, I took an initiative where I contacted local shop owners and got in touch with maids, drivers and the like and helped them with their tax returns and informed them about the kind of relief packages the government is offering them.
I am the founding treasurer of an inter-college festival, focused on math and stats and their growing business use cases. The fest saw 1000+ people attend in its first year. I was part of a volunteer team, that raised 500,000 rupees via crowdfunding to provide dry rations to over 80,000 underprivileged households in remote areas. I am also the campus ambassador of a well know national NGO.

Post MBA Goal:

I want to leverage my experience of working with FS companies and use the MBA to pivot to entrepreneurship in the fintech space in India. I want to build ventures that promote social and economic equity in developing countries with high degrees of disparity, starting with India.
