On the challenge side, however, I think some other things are likely to hold you back at Stanford. First, you are on the older side for GSB. Some schools are a little more tolerant of older candidates in the MBA program, but at Stanford, they are much more likely to encourage you to consider the MSX applicant pool, not the MBA. Honestly, I think you have a good chance at some M7s, especially MIT Sloan given your engineering background, strong work experience and high GRE score.
