Hi Mr. Senior Energy Engineer, Julie-Anne Heafey here with mbaMission. I am so glad to hear of your passion for energy efficiency. I assume you’ve converted your GPA from the BITS Pilani norm and that your average was something in the 60-something percent? This is a bit below the norm of MBA applicants from this type of school, and on top of it, your GMAT is not very much over the norm for Darden. I’d retake if you possibly can, because normally for a tough-competition category, the average score would be a step higher within that group than it is in the norm. They are counting on brilliant Indian engineers to raise up the average score! I also worry about your community leadership, because I don’t see much here. Are you applying soon? I’d rack your brain to think of ways you’ve made a difference in SOME kind of community – even work. Maybe you’ve been on some internal committees?? Make sure to bring personal stories and perspective into your app so you are not just presenting your work self but a whole person. Good luck!
Hi Mr. Senior Energy Engineer, Thanks for reaching out for a profile review. This is Donna Bauman with Stratus Admissions and I am glad to share my thoughts with you. I see a passion for energy efficiency in your background, something that is becoming increasingly important. I would try to let that passion and your impact around energy efficiency shine so brightly in your application that the admissions team doesnāt have as much time to think about your stats. It helps that you did well in your Masters program. Be sure you also clarify why you need an MBA since you are already now working in your desired field
