Came out of undergrad with experience at NASA and Experian with the expectation to move to Big Tech, but after a near-death experience, pivoted towards human-based consulting. Current work is mostly technical-based implementation, leading development teams across multiple projects.

I graduated undergrad in 3 years. Worked at a major government consulting firm for a year, promoted after 9 months. Moved to top Big 4 consulting firm, promoted again after 1.5 years. High visibility to firm partners, expecting MBA sponsorship.
I hope to use an MBA to pivot to more strategy-based consulting work, rather than implementation work itself. Many of my implementation projects have had difficulty succeeding due to strat teams with no technical knowledge. Want to combine experience with tech to become well-balanced leader.

Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. I definitely understand the motivations behind your career goals, and it’s quite common to want to move from implementation-based consulting to strategy-based consulting – I’ve actually worked successfully with a number of clients with that very same path.

Mr. Tech Consulting – thanks for posting your profile. Susan Cera here from Stratus.
I’m curious, are you looking to apply NOW to start a program in the summer/fall of 2020? Since you have a decent GMAT and strong work progression, this could be an opportunity to take steps towards transitioning to strategy consulting sooner rather than later. Alternatively, if you have sponsorship then perhaps CBS J-term might be a good option.
I like how you have been using your talents to support community initiatives. To find a seat at CBS, it will be important for you to demonstrate why you want to be at the very center of business. What opportunities exist at CBS that you hope to leverage as you move towards your goals?(Master classes? Immersion seminars?) Similarly, how do you see yourself contributing to the CBS community? Perhaps you might do a Pangea project?
Wishing you all the best on your MBA application journey.
