Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. You’ve got solid academics and a strong start to your IB career, so I can definitely see you as a contender from CBS. A lot of people with similar profiles apply to the program though, so here’s how you can maximize your chances: 1. consider retaking GMAT for an even higher score to help you stand out in the pool 2. Start/continue seeking leadership opportunities within your firm, such as overseeing interns, mentoring, and conducting trainings – this will show the AdCom your leadership skills. 3. Thoroughly research CBS (including speaking with multiple students and alumni and going to any virtual events possible (and in-person events, once those start again) – the school really wants to see that you understand its offerings and culture and are deeply interested in attending it over other schools. Best of luck!
Hi Mr. TMT Investment banker—I think you should drop what you are doing and work on your CBS application! Right now! This could be your year. CBS is actively looking at applicants even for the incoming class in August or September and your profile looks very strong for this. It will help to do your research on CBS and the resources there that will help you shift to growth equity. But if you can put some effort into your application I really think you have a shot! Reach out if you want to have a consult to talk in more depth!
