Ms. Military Officer

About Me:

I’m a mid-career military officer interested in attending a full-time MBA program. In my current role, I live and work abroad, managing a program of significant commercial importance to the U.S. Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of free time for organized extracurricular activities as I travel a lot, but I do enjoy cooking, reading, and drawing.

Title: Military Officer

Industry: Government / Military

Length of Employment: 10 yrs

Post MBA Goal:

I would be pursuing an MBA through a fully-funded program offered by the U.S. government. After completion of the degree, I would return to serve for at least another 4 years in the military as part of my “payback”. I will likely remain in the service until I am retirement eligible.

Ms. Military Officer – Thanks for posting your profile and thank you for your service! Susan here from Stratus.

Your years of work experience and global exposure will make you a valuable contributor in the classroom and beyond. I would worry less about having limited outside activities. Many younger candidates use extracurriculars to build the leadership skills they need to showcase in business school applications but are not getting in their formal work.

As a sponsored candidate with a position to return to, you won’t be a career risk so I think you chances at Foster are really good!

With your profile, you could be a compelling candidate for some of the mid-career MBA programs where the cohort would be more similar to yourself. Take a look …
