Hi Ms. Strategic Photographer! This is Kate Richardson with mbaMission. Straight away, I like your creative background and entrepreneurial spirit — less typical, especially for someone raised in a traditional family. I think those are mostly positives, but remember that that’s a less typical pre-MBA path, so you have a challenge in proving you’re serious about this next step, have enough leadership experience to contribute to the classroom, and have the quantitative skillset to handle the curriculum. Hopefully you were able to prove those points through your essays. I think a higher GRE would be ideal, especially on the quant side, and especially for Haas and Kellogg. Good luck!
Ms. Strategyic Photographer – thanks for posting your profile. Susan Cera here from Stratus.
Your background is definitely different from most profiles schools will see from Indian applicants. Congrats on being invited to interview – this is a great sign that Kellogg and Rice Jones want to learn more about you. I think you would be well served to tighten up your goals. What industry do you see yourself working in as a product manager? Perhap it is something that aligns with photography (a camera company?) or other experiences you have to date.

I’m a bit unclear about your work experience. It is showing jus 6 months which is well below the average of 4-5 years at most of the programs you listed. Perhaps I am missing something here. While it is great that you are helping orphans, I’m curious as to where that interest comes from and what impact that you want to make.
Although your GPA is very strong, your GRE is below average. I don’t know the Q/V breakdown but, based on your undergrad major, you may want to take an additional course to demonstrate that you are prepared for the quantitative rigor of a top program.
Wishing you the best on your application journey.
