Post-MBA, I would like to venture out into a Product Management role in any of the FAANG firms. Eventually, I want to set up my own firm that intersects at Edu and Tech and that impacts people’s lives positively, particularly those of the rural areas, ultimately making my community and the country digitally literate.

Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. You have a well-rounded profile, with solid academics, high impact in your software engineering career, and good community involvement as well. While competition is fierce for Indian applicants for Top 20 U.S. programs, I think having a GMAT score above Johnson’s average will help (though if you can boost it a bit further, go for it). In your application, explain fully the motivations behind your goals (why PM, and what has inspired your longer-term entrepreneurial goals?) and make a strong case for why Johnson is the right program for you based on its culture and resources.
Mr. Top Performer – Thanks for posting your profile. Susan Cera here from Stratus.
I spent 10 years reviewing applications at Duke Fuqua and, of those, 6 focused on Indian nationals so am seen profiles similar to yours and understand how competitive the demograhic is.
I like that your goals build on the software engineering experience that you bring to the program. For this reason, I think they are achievable. You might look specifically at Cornell Tech or even NYU Stern’s 1 year Tech MBA program which places well into software companies.

Take some time to think about HOW you want to impact people’s lives positively. Is there a particular problem that you think that technology can solve? Your stats and work experience will convince adcom that you can do the work. Having a compelling story will be instrumental to your success.
I caution you to tone down the ‘Top Performer’ and make sure to showcase how you have worked with others to find your success. Cornell and Ross are very collaborative environments and you need to demonstrate your fit with their ethos.
Wishing you the best on your application journey.
