Goizueta’s STEM-credentialed Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) combines business, data, and technology to make you an effective business data scientist for a data-driven world. This 10-month, immersive program emphasizes hands-on learning in real-world partnerships with organizations like FedEx, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), and The Home Depot. You will learn how to leverage data mining, machine learning, econometrics, relational and noSQL databases, text mining, data visualization, design of experiments, optimization, simulation, decision theory, consumer and human behavior, and more to solve business problems in any industry.
The 10-month, on-campus Goizueta MS in Business Analytics starts with math, business, and technology bootcamps to refine technical and professional skills. In the first semester, you will take courses in Business Analytics, Social Network Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, and Decision Analytics & Optimization. The second semester consists of courses in Managing Big Data, Machine Learning, and two electives chosen from Digital Marketing & Social Media Strategy, Revenue Management & Supply Chain Analytics, HR Analytics, and Sports Analytics. Students will also complete their capstone projects in the second semester in which tackle a real problem for a real client using real data.
Throughout the program, students will receive one-on-one career coaching, and during the second semester will participate in a West Coast Career Trek to witness analytics in action and engage with tech firms and Goizueta alumni residing on the West Coast.
Emory University’s Goizueta Business School’s MSBA Program imparts strong technical and quantitative training plus comprehensive business acumen, all within a top 20 business school. Students will solve business problems for member companies of the board as well as other firms from across the spectrum of verticals using data provided by the firms, as well as public and proprietary data including social media.
Graduates of the program will occupy that unique position in an organization that is at the cusp of business, technology, and data.
