The New Faculty Faces At The Top Business Schools

Pennsylvania’s Wharton School hired nine new faculty members with a total of five years of experience. The most seasoned new faculty member is Mary-Hunter “Mae” McDonnell, who also taught at Northwestern’s Kellogg and Georgetown’s McDonough. Newbie Wharton professors come from some of the best United States and international business institutions such as Stanford’s GSB, NYU Stern, INSEAD, Duke Fuqua, and Northwestern Kellogg, among others.

Chicago’s Booth School of Business brought in an impressive 13 new professors with a combined 42 years of experience. As noted in the story, they were able to hire Sanjog Misra from UCLA’s Anderson as the Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing. Booth was also able to hire long-term NYU Stern professor, Rene Caldentey after a year of visiting Booth. Richard Hornbeck was the other significant hire, who came from Harvard and spent a year visiting Chicago Booth.
