Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: After I finished medical school and my internship, I moved to a small town in rural India to work as a resident medical doctor. Often I was the only doctor on call. While this was very challenging, it taught me a great deal about myself and the world around me. I learnt how difficult it was for the majority of Indians to access quality healthcare and it set me on the path to getting a public health degree.

Looking back on your experience, what advice would you give to future business school applicants?Ā  Be as honest as you can be in your application and not the person you think the admissions committee wants to hear from. The very thing that you may think is irrelevant or a disadvantage often sets you apart and makes you unique.

What led you to choose this program for your full-time MBA?

  • As someone with a non-business background I wanted a program that had a relatively small class size so I wouldnā€™t get lost in a crowd. At Babson, the professor knows your name and you canā€™t really ā€˜hideā€™.
  • Babson had the most support for students wanting to start their own business especially for women. It has the perfect ecosystem with very many supportive resources and networks.
  • Entrepreneurship was and is something that I wanted to explore and learn about. Where better than at Babson?

Tell us about your dream job or dream employer at this point in your life? My dream job would be to run a for-profit organization that offers sustainable, locally driven solutions to the challenges that face us today in global health and development or helps reduce the cost of healthcare. These are issues that are complex and I enjoy grappling with the creative solutions that they require.

What would you like your business school peers to say about you after you graduate from this program? I would like my business school peers to say that I helped them recognize and remember their true north and that I am a trusted friend and colleague.
