Can This Desi IIT Star Get Into HBS With Only A 770 GMAT

He’s in the most challenging part of the elite MBA applicant pool: An Indian with an engineering undergraduate degree from one of the Indian Institutes of Technology. But unlike the vast majority of those candidates to top business schools, this 26-year-old young professional isn’t working as a software developer. Instead, he’s racked up two promotions into a product management role for a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating poverty by leveraging technology.

More than that, he also co-founded a startup that came up with a mobile solution to ease urban parking and congestion by connecting incoming cars to a fleet of rotating on-street valets in New Delhi and was a manager of business and operations for a Mumbai housing startup where he led a team of more than 50 staffers.
