Q: Tell me a little bit about the firm. Size, number of full-time or part-time admissions consultants, how long you’ve been in business, and who do you serve?

A: Admissions Gateway was founded as a passion project. Our founder, Rajdeep, applied to five business schools and did not gain admission. The next year, he gained acceptance to five schools! His experience laid the foundation of our counseling approach – providing top-quality yet affordable consulting services.

We have been in business for 10+ years and have three consultants listed on P&Q and two part time consultants. We work with applicants from 25+ countries and help them apply to the top-15 US business schools and the top-5 European schools.

Q: What is your firm best known for?

A: We are best known for the care and attention we give our clients. We specialize in the M7 and have the highest success rate, worldwide, for admits and scholarships to the M7.

For the class of 2024, 88% of clients who worked with our founder gained admission to a top-5 school.

For the class of 2022, we helped clients gain $8.6M in scholarships. For every dollar our clients spend, they got $9.60 in return on average in scholarship money!

With admissions consulting prices soaring to $16,000 for 3 schools, we not only have the best results but also provide the best value to applicants as we charge $8000 for a 3-school package.

Q: What makes your firm unique and differentiates you from other firms, large or small?

A:

  • Engagement – We have a high-touch model and invest a lot of time in understanding our applicants’ life stories and helping them position themselves. Everything is done 1-on-1 and on through conversation, not through e-mail exchange.
  • Quality – We have a 99% track record in helping re-applicants succeed. This is the highest measure of quality as these clients have just gone through a consulting process a few months ago. Yet, they quickly improve their positioning and succeed.
  • Results – We have the highest M7 success rate in the world and are one of the few firms that publish our track record. A 99% track record for US and European clients, and the highest scholarship gained per applicant worldwide.
  • Value – We provide the best outcomes at a great value with our 3-school package priced at $8000, half of what our peers charge!
  • Our founder has been the top reviewed consultant on Poets&Quants for 4 consecutive years.

Q: Do you have a roadmap or formula for the MBA applicant?

A: We have a structured process that sets the baseline for applicants and then we engage in 1-on-1 counseling to help applicants reflect and convey their unique stories. There is no ‘formula’, more a benchmark of quality.

Q: Since you opened doors, how many MBA seekers have you helped to gain acceptance? How many successful applicants?

A: Snapshot of our results for the last 4 years.

2022 results: Top-5 admits: 81 admissions (WLs in progress)

2021 results: Top-5 schools: 98 admissions

2020 results: Top-5 schools: 83 admissions

2019 results: Top-5 schools: 71 admissions

Q: How can an applicant tell if your firm is a good fit for them to help them through the application process?

A: The best way to do this is to talk to us! We have exhaustive free profile evaluations, not 30-minute sales pitches! Over the hour we take you through all facets of your profile and the process with actionable tips to improve your chances. One can also talk to our ex-clients, who are always happy to support us, and read our in-depth reviews on P&Q.

Q: Do you ever refer people to other firms?

A: As a small firm we hit capacity fast and only take on as much work as we can do well. Post that, we do refer candidates to other consultants who we trust will do a good job.

Q: Give us one free tip for applicants:

A: Resumes are the most important part of the process as they are reflective of how a person thinks about her/his experiences. We find that applicants spend less time on resumes than they should and that the standard of resume advice in the admissions consulting industry is average. The resume is referenced for goals, recommendations, essays, and interviews. So this is the part of the process that sets the tone!
