Undergraduate School and Major: Elon University, Finance Most Recent Employer and Job Title: KULKEA – Vice President of Finance and Operations Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Kenan-Flagler’s MBA curriculum or programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The STAR Program. It looks like an incredible opportunity to get a real slice of the consulting experience and have the chance to connect our education with the professional world. Given my desired career path of consulting, this stood out to me as a valuable addition to my MBA experience. What are some advantages you’ve seen in earning your MBA in Chapel Hill? The strength of the relationships you build with not only your classmates, but your professors, mentors, and the general Carolina community. Everyone is proud to be a Tar Heel and wear Carolina blue! What has been your first impression of the Kenan-Flagler MBA students and alumni you’ve met so far. Tell us your best Kenan-Flagler story so far. Everyone has impressed me in some aspect –- whether it was their past professional experience, incredible life-achievements, or specific characteristics. What course, club or activity excites you the most at Kenan-Flagler? The Global Immersion Electives and “Doing Business In” programs – I cannot wait to have the opportunity to travel and spend quality time with my classmates in a new country. I love to have new experiences in different cultures as you really get to know those around you and gain new perspectives. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I am proud of the confidence that I have built so far as I have taken on more responsibility than I thought I would ever have at an early stage in my career. My professional growth is my biggest accomplishment as it has led me to where I am now, pursuing higher education and earning my MBA. What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? Begin in-office work in a consulting role. My past role at a smaller company was mostly remote. Although it was an incredible experience and opportunity, I am looking forward to hopefully working at a larger organization with a busy and welcoming company culture.
