Studying at the Quantic School of Business and Technology could be the perfect choice. Often referred to as the “business school of the future,” Quantic’s MBA program, launched over a decade ago, is perfectly suited for those who juggle multiple responsibilities. This year’s cohort features a vibrant blend of entrepreneurs, parents, international students, and avid travelers—each finding their place at Quantic. Here, students can earn their 15-month MBA for just $14,250. WHY AN MBA, AND WHY THEY CHOSE QUANTIC With numerous excellent business schools available, why does Quantic stand out? From the Netherlands, Ömür Sert, a Senior Manager at Microsoft, chose Quantic because their MBA program aligned with his goals of expanding his leadership and management skills. “My father always told me, ‘You can achieve anything you want in life, if you just put in the work.’ Pursuing an MBA is driven by my desire to unlock my full potential and become the best version of myself,” he says. Sert’s happy to say he’s been gaining valuable insights from his cohort, who contribute diverse perspectives from many industries around the globe. Similar to the MBA in length is Quantic’s 15 month EMBA program – a great fit for those with substantial work history looking to accelerate their careers or pivot into new industries. EMBA Justinas Mišeikis came to Quantic while working as a Strategy and Partnerships Manager at Sony Research. He’s a tech guru who’s looking to bridge his technical knowledge with business insights to help bring beneficial products to market. “Despite a very successful start, I’m keen on improving my understanding of the business world much better and well rounded, which motivated me to join the EMBA program,” says Mišeikis. From Los Angeles, California, MBA Emily Siu is pursuing her MBA at Quantic to expand her skills in accounting and data analytics while simultaneously working at the United Nations Population Fund. Also a parent, she’s “hoping that with this degree I will be well equipped to pursue better career opportunities that make sense for us.” WHAT COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU THINK OF QUANTIC? What word comes to mind when students think of the Quantic MBA? It’s “modern” for Siu. “The program is run in a way that is very sensitive to the needs of today, better equipping students to respond to the current demands.” As a mother, Siu also appreciates the program’s flexibility. “The flexibility has made a world of a difference in giving me the luxury of time when I lead a life that is very short on it in general,” she adds. Quantic has a mobile-first teaching style and is quite budget friendly, both of which make the program reachable for many. “They also have a range of scholarships and payment plans. I’m a big fan of making education cheaper in principle, so I am happy to be a part of that,” she notes. For Laura Cavaciuti, a senior manager at Disney+, “innovative” is the word that comes to mind when she thinks of Quantic. “The Quantic program’s cutting-edge curriculum and delivery model perfectly align with the ambitions and learning preferences of today’s dynamic, globally minded MBA candidates,” she says. She needed a program format that complemented rather than disrupted her career progression. MOST ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCES THUS FAR MBA experiences at Quantic are mostly virtual, with the exception of optional in-person networking and learning weekends that take place in a variety of global locations. Although the Capstone project has just begun, Cavaciuti says “this culminating experience has already proven to be an absolute highlight of my Quantic journey.” Students take all they’ve learned and synthesize them into either a business plan or an executive strategy report. He’s currently based in Palo Alto working as a Software Systems Engineer at Rivian Automotive. “I have enjoyed the group projects involving real life case studies the most.” They provide valuable context and real learning experiences, closing the gap between theoretical concepts and actual application. “I’ve most enjoyed going to the entrepreneurship inspired events and those organized by the Quantic Entrepreneurs Club,” shares MBA Joseph Folkes who’s based in London. “The ability to listen to and learn from seasoned entrepreneurs on a variety of interesting and relevant topics is inspiring,” he adds. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED MEDIA When it comes to their favorite books, articles, shows, movies, and podcasts, MBAs have a vast array of interests and recommendations, Folkes recently re-read the book Mastery by Robert Greene which sheds light on why investing in yourself as soon as possible is worth it. “When I think long-term and see the next 10 or so years of my life as an extended apprenticeship phase, learning opportunities become urgent and are greatly prioritized.” Quantic at Barcelona Global Conference – courtesy photo If you’re honing your leadership skills, EMBA Robyn Bascombe recommends reading Morra Aarons-Mele’s The Anxious Achiever. She’s currently leading a team at Instacart, and has goals of expanding her leadership, decision making and strategic thinking skills. “Her book encourages female leaders to embrace their anxieties as strengths,” says Bascombe. “She argues that anxiety is built into the very nature of leadership – that it should be harnessed into a force for good.” From Turkey, MBA Tugrul Guner is a Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer and has dreams of driving humanity towards groundbreaking advancements through technology. He highly recommends The Lean Startup by Eric Ries, especially for those interested in entrepreneurship. “The book provides insightful guidance on how startups can strategically build products by emphasizing agility and using customer feedback to optimize market-product fit,” he says. SURPRISING LESSONS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM Earning an MBA encompasses so much more than just mastering the curriculum. MBA students acquire a wealth of knowledge, skills, and invaluable life lessons that shape their professional and personal growth. For Guner, he’s learned that there isn’t a single “right” way to learn effectively. “I used to believe that thoroughly understanding the theory first was the obvious approach,” he says, “However, with experience, I realized I learn more efficiently by blending theory with practice—and sometimes, I learn best by diving in and doing the task itself.” Quantic at Bangkok Conference – courtesy photo Design Lead at Netflix, MBA Fonz Morris has spoken at over 30 global conferences. Thus far while studying at Quantic, he’s learned that he can achieve anything he puts his mind to – “even getting an MBA while having a full-time job, being a husband and dad,” he says. On the academic end, Fonz says he “now knows why, how and when to apply a PESTEL Analysis to a business!” A self-growth enthusiast from Turkey who loves building connections, MBA Emre Karamagara was surprised with the depth of the data analytics curriculum. “I was pleasantly surprised by how comprehensive and hands-on the courses are,” he says. Quantic not only covers theoretical aspects but also provides extensive practical applications, using real-world data sets and advanced analytical tools. On the non-academic side, Karamagara was surprised by the sense of community and the high level of engagement though the program is online. “I was initially skeptical about forming meaningful connections in a digital format, but the school’s structure and initiatives have fostered a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie among the students,” he says. ACADEMIC FOOD FOR THOUGHT The Quantic MBAs have a few words of wisdom for future students. Karamagara advises prospective students to craft a compelling narrative through clearly stating their career goals, their motivations for pursuing an MBA, and articulating how the program aligns withfive personal aspirations. “Admissions committees look for candidates who have a well-defined vision and can demonstrate how their experiences and goals align with what the program offers. This really helped me to advance in my admission process,” he shares. She also urges applicants to complete the introductory Business Foundations courses during the application period so they can familiarize themselves with the program. “Be upfront, honest and authentic about what you want to achieve in your career, and what you need to get there,” shares MBA Kiki Hughes, Chief Experience Officer at a climate tech company called Decarb.earth. Hughes came to Quantic looking for a flexible program that would give her insight into how to run a global company. “The Quantic team really cares about your personal story; this is what sets them apart. If you transparently share your goals and ambitions with them, they will do everything they can to help you achieve them,” she adds.
