Formerly MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business, POLIMI GSoM rebranded in 2022 in a move to affirm its offer of management training to professionals outside the traditional business sector.

Operating under the institutional umbrella of the Politecnico di Milano, which ranked among the top 25 universities globally for Engineering in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, a strong STEM element is naturally present across the school of management’s program portfolio.

The GSoM offers a number of specialist Master’s programs, with intense, practically-focused curricula which enable students to hone their knowledge in a particular field.

Topics frequently blend elements of management with data science and technology, including the Master in Management, Finance & Tech; the Master in Business Analytics and Data Science; and the International Master in Fintech, Finance and Digital Innovation.

While these year-long courses offer in-depth training in how to deploy technology in specific functions such as predictive analytics, POLIMI’s management engineering heritage ensures an attitude of scientific rationality is woven through all programs.

“We believe that by integrating technical skills into our coursework and projects, our students will be better prepared to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that leverage the latest digital tools and Industry 4.0 technologies,” says Sergio Terzi.

Guest lecturers, simulations, and company visits on the MBA program expose students to different uses of generative AI technology, among other topics, building on core courses in Understanding Complexity and Fostering Innovation.
