Last year (2025) in R1, I wrote my own application using free resources many of us have access to. TLDR: Worked with Jon on five M7 applications. Admitted to Booth in R1 and Columbia in R2. He was the rare consultant who actually engaged with a difficult, non-traditional profile instead of forcing it into a template. His background across MBA admissions, finance, and entrepreneurship made his feedback unique, and I believe I wouldn’t have been accepted into any M7 without him.

Before hiring Jon, I spoke with several consultants. Most were very nice, but it felt like they didn’t understand me or didn’t care. With an unconventional profile like mine, I didn’t want to engage with someone who was just checking boxes. Jon was the exception. On our first call, he was genuinely interested in my background, the conversation ran well past its scheduled time, and I left the call excited to start the process.

My profile (Finance + Digital Asset Entrepreneurship) was hard to position, and I had struggled on my own to turn it into a coherent, admissions-friendly story. Jon was equipped for exactly that. Some context

I am a 30-year-old European, working in private equity. I have a fiancée, a baby, and an MBA dream that had been sitting in the back of my mind for a long time. When I finally decided to commit to the applications, I was clear-eyed about one thing: I was not going to do this halfway. Alongside a demanding job and a young family, I needed someone in my corner, the way a serious athlete needs a coach when they are truly trying to reach a goal.

I did a thorough analysis before choosing a firm. I spoke with several of the top admissions consultancies, researched their track records, and asked hard questions. Pre-application preparation

The process started with a strategy questionnaire and early sessions with Emma, and this is where I first understood what I had signed up for. Post-submission

Her interview preparation was specific and thorough. She did not give me a list of generic tips. She gave me a clear framework for how to present myself, how to handle difficult questions, and how to walk into each interview feeling genuinely ready rather than just hoping for the best. That preparation showed. I felt confident going in, and I think that confidence came through.

I start at London Business School in August 2026, my first choice. I consulted with Emma in preparation for my interview for London Business School’s Master’s in Financial Analysis (I was ultimately admitted). I will be brief and candid in this review. Heidi is an absolutely incredible MBA coach, and I cannot say enough positive things about working with her! It was common while working together that I would try to express it one way in my essay, include a very detailed comment of exactly what I wanted to communicate (in 5-10 sentences with context), and Heidi would suggest a new way that managed to tie it all together. When I was experiencing true writer’s block, I would schedule a meeting with Heidi who would help me talk out the story I was trying to write, and help me understand a structure for a compelling essay that I would be able to fill in. As someone who despises word limits, her suggestions for how to communicate the same idea in half the number of words was truly invaluable.

Finally, the compassion and patience that she had during this process was just as valuable as the advice she provided. While applying for my MBA (and studying for the GMAT), I also started a new job, had a major bodily injury, and was in a car accident. Heidi not only helped me stay accountable during this process, she also helped me develop a plan to tackle these applications while navigating the mess these life events created.

Even though I had a far below average GPA, I was admitted to a T15 with scholarship and waitlisted at a few schools including two M7s. I’m really glad I worked with DeJeune on my apps. JDMBA applications are pretty niche, and you really need your story to make sense for both degrees and for the school. She totally gets that.
