Sounds like you would qualify as a Japanese applicant and that could be an advantage for you. HBS typically has anywhere between 13 to 22 MBA students from Japan at any time. I also think that getting yourself a data analytics management role is a real plus. After all, there isn’t a lot of excitement in being an insurance actuary. • Stratus Admissions Counseling Odds Assessment: 25%

Hi Mr. Actuarial Associate, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. I think that you have a really unique profile that will be attractive to Wharton. Your experience in and desire to go back to Japan will be a welcomed addition to the class. You will need to use your essays to prove to admissions teams that you goal is possible based on your experience. Would you plan to build your investment vehicle as a part of a larger company? Or on your own. These details will be important to your story. While your GMAT is in the 80% range for Wharton, it is on the lower side – and since you will be competing with other finance types for your seat in the class – will …
