A 2.4 GPA from UPTU is going to make your admission to London really tough. That is a very low grade point average from a school without a lot of prestige. You’ve clearly made the most of it in your job with a Big 4 and are in a hot area in data analytics. But you really need to explain in your essays why you did so poorly during your undergraduate studies and why you ended up at UPTU. London is among the most competitive schools in the world and you have to give them a reason to look at you. It also doesn’t help that you are in the most over-represented part of the MBA applicant pool.
Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. You’ve clearly built up a passion for finance, and it makes sense that you’d want to pivot in this direction. While I don’t have a lot of information behind the progression you’ve made in your career to date (and how you’ll stand out vs. other Big 4 consultants, since there are many in the applicant pool) and your other passions (are you formally involved in basketball and an oratory organization at this time)? I would say I’m most concerned about your academics based on what I see. Admission to LBS and other top programs is especially competitive for Indian applicants, and your GPA and GMAT put you below the LBS average (your CFA exams will help only to a limited extent). I strongly recommend retaking GMAT for a 730+ and expanding your list of programs – I would consider Oxford Said and Cambridge Judge as well. Hope that helps a bit – best of luck!
