Hi Mr. Google Tech, Thanks for posting your profile. This is Debbie Choy, Senior Consultant at mbaMission. I like that you have robust work experience at Google and you put your tech skills to good use for the community in developing the app. Nice! Your GMAT score is also very competitive. Hi Mr. Google Tech, Thanks for posting your profile. This is Debbie Choy, Senior Consultant at mbaMission. I like that you have robust work experience at Google and you put your tech skills to good use for the community in developing the app. Nice! Your GMAT score is also very competitive. To check – is your undergrad GPA 2.2 a converted number to the US scale out of 4? Or are you using a different scale? Most business school applications don’t ask that you convert to the US scale, but simply that the grade you report be consistent with your transcript. That said, you can give the Admissions Committee (AdCom) a sense for how well you did by including a note on your resume, eg “graduated top 10% of class” and so on. Separately for your application, be sure to include more information on how you’re doing at Google. Are you taking on increasing responsibilities as you grow in your career? Are you leading teams or work streams? These are things that AdCom likes to see in their candidates. In addition, AdCom likes to see community engagement. Apart from the restaurant app that you created, do you volunteer with any community organizations? Be sure to include all this information in your application so you show AdCom as many sides of who you are as possible. If you can do all this, I think you’d have a solid shot at HBS. I’m happy to discuss other specific questions about your profile in a 1:1 consult. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!
