Congrats on the outstanding performance during undergrad. I’m particularly impressed that you did this well while dealing with immigration issues and completed the program early. Your 4.0 will catch the eye of admissions committee!
I’m sure that you have a great story to tell – there are not a lot of business school candidates who come from a union heavy manufacturing background.

My concern is that your goals are super vague. Wanting to go into management consulting to make a greater impact is not a compelling reason to go to business school. If you want to be sitting in a class this fall, you will need to get more crisp about why you want an MBA, what you need to learn and what the degree will set you up to do in the future. Two years will go by very quickly and if you haven’t given your goals much thought going into the application process, you run the risk of being even more confused when you have to decide what opportunities to pursue while in a program.
Wishing you all the best on the application process!
