– Passionate about the power of effective communication. Through my involvement in Toastmasters and other avenues, I have been able to empower people to express themselves.
By the time I apply, I would have had 4 year of experience in executing and implementing large energy projects(multi-billion dollar). I love working in teams to solve challenging problems. I love the energy industry and the power that it has to change lives. Post MBA, would love to work for a strategy consulting firm in the energy practice.

Hi, it’s Nisha with mbaMission – thanks for writing! You have a well-rounded profile, with excellent academics (which is especially important since you’re applying from such a competitive demographic), engineering experience at a prominent company, and a track record of community involvement.
To better assess your profile, I’d need to know a bit more about the impact and progression you have made in your engineering role (great to see the excellent performer award!) – also, how confident are you in the quality of your recommendations? If you still feel that there’s room for progression, you could apply in R1 2021 instead (I recommend R1 for heavily represented applicants anyway).

Business schools will want to understand the motivation behind your goals – why do you want to pivot from engineering to consulting? Make sure to fully explain what drove you to this aspiration and the impact you want to make in the short and long term.
Haas is always tricky because it has such a small class size, but Darden and Fuqua will be more attainable. For INSEAD, part of your success will depend on how much international work experience you’ve had. Hope that helps!
You need more of a story / reason for your goals.
