Coming from a Fortune 10 tech giant and gaining two promotions to boot in a relatively short term puts you in a very good place for an admit decision at Rice. You’re just a point below the class average on your GRE, and your GPA at Delhi University is also below the class average of 3.4. But I do think your work experience more than offsets those handicaps. Still, you would probably do yourself a favor by retaking the GRE and aiming for something that is a few points higher than the class average? Why? Because your GPA is low and because you are in the most overrepresented part of the MBA applicant pool as a male Indian engineer. Do get to know the admissions …
