In the short term I hope to use an MBA to pivot into tech in a PM role, or since I am not a CS undergrad, Biz-ops as a backup. Long term I want to start a company, but may end up here straight away since entrepreneurship seems to be in the water at top schools.

Hi Mr. Manufacturing 2 Tech! Seriously, what’s not to love here?! Shall, I just stop right there? Well, you did take the time to complete this, so you are owed more than that, but daaang, you have it going on! Understanding the Manufacturing side of things in any PM role will be such a competitive advantage for you… and when you layer on the leadership skills you gained while managing 100+ people, I can see you rising up the ranks quickly. You are also an entrepenuer, Eagle Scout, and an athelete – talk about a well rounded person who could strike up a conversation with nearly anyone from any background. The one “sort of” ding I see on your resume is your undergrad school ranking and less than favorable GPA while there. However, your GMAT score proves that you’ve been learning something along the way, so I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. Of course, if you have compelling rationale for choosing the school and/or your GPA, AdCom will want to hear – sometimes these “dings” can actually turn into stars if it taught you something solid that you’ve learned from and leveraged to drive your success thereafter. I’ll be cheering for you all the way to Cambridge or Stanford – you just may have your pick!
