I graduated in the top 10 out of 300 Marine Officers in our six months, basic officers’ course which consisted of academic and physical challenges. Due to my high performance, I was awarded a competitive contract to be an Intelligence Officer. While working in tech sales, I was promoted to manage a team of 7.
I hope to combine my leadership experience from the Marine Corps with the skills and opportunities afforded from an MBA to pursue a career in management consulting, and eventually, to manage teams of consultants. I hope to bring my military leadership experience to help clients make tough decisions when necessary.

Hello Mr. Marine Executive Officer! Krista Nannery from mbaMission here. Thanks for posting. B-schools LOVE military candidates, especially Marines! So assuming strong application executive, I think you will do well at McCombs, Fuqua, and Kellogg…although Kellogg may be a bit tougher given your GPA. (Please apply R1 to Kellogg. In the past, they’ve said that by the time R2 comes around, they have too many military candidates.) You may also want to look at Darden and Ross…both have great consulting placement and both LOVE military candidates. That Ross application — assuming it stays the same — is pretty easy to execute on as well. (Only one LoR!) I wish you all the best for this process. Thank you for your service! Krista
