Mr. Marine Pilot, First off, let me say you present an ideal profile for the schools you are targeting. You’re 3.98 GPA from the U.S. Naval Academy and your 750 GMAT are well above the class averages for all your schools. Mr. Marine Pilot, First off, let me say you present an ideal profile for the schools you are targeting. Yet, as you know, elite MBA admissions can sometimes be a random game. Your candidacy will be dependent on what other military vets are in the applicant pool for a particular school. It’s a real plus that you are a domestic applicant, by the way, because domestic candidates are down significantly right now and schools are giving more preference to domestics with great stats and credentials. You surely are in that category. I think you are a shoo-in at Chicago and Michigan and have a really good shot at Harvard which is why I am putting your odds there at 50%, well above the 12% admit rate at HBS.
