Hey Mr. Techie Accountant Thanks for posting! Krista from mbaMission here. I love a candidate that is planning so far in advance! This bodes well for you in this highly competitive process. I love that you have Darden as your target school because assuming 720, with your GPA, I think this could be a good fit! With the other schools on your list — all a bit more competitive than Darden — I would love to see a slightly higher GMAT score to make this an easier process for you. (Even 730 will be better here.) This is not to say that you won’t be successful of course! It’s more than I want you to have a few irons in the fire here…definitely go for this diverse list of deferred programs. I hope that helps! Mr. Techie Accountant – Thanks for posting your profile. Susan Cera here from Stratus.
I like that you are leaning Darden over other schools and think your leadership profile will set you apart from other college seniors with solid UG performance. I’m hoping that you end up with 730+ on your GMAT so you can be bringing up the GMAT average for Darden’s admits.
As you move forward with the application process, I encourage you to dig into the culture and community at Darden so you can use your essays to showcase why you are a good fit and how you intend to contribute. You’ll also want to be able to articulate why Darden’s case method is the best way for you to learn as you prepare …

You’ll also want to be able to articulate why Darden’s case method is the best way for you to learn as you prepare to transition from tax to tech or strategy consulting.
Wishing you all the best!
