I grew up in an agricultural community in a low-income family in central California. As a first-generation college student, I had a transformative experience in college that left me business-driven and service-oriented. Wanting to give back, I did Teach for America in Hawaii. Since then, I have been an Associate at L.E.K. Consulting.

As a first-year Math teacher through Teach for America, my students scored the highest out of the 15 Math teachers at my school on the state exam with a 69% proficiency rate (compared to a state average of 25%). In my second year of teaching, I was given higher-need students and achieved the highest level of Math growth out of my entire school.
With my newfound business resources and passion for education, I will seek to positively impact the educational consulting sector as a clear leader in education reform to meet the educational needs our society desperately deserves. I will start this path through a major consultancy’s educational arm.
