Hi Mr. Underdog, Congrats on your successful fundraising for your crypto start-up! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission and GSB alum. I think there are a lot of strengths in your profile – you must have had quite a journey being a first gen American and college grad, and working your way up to the buy-side. Hi Mr. Underdog, Congrats on your successful fundraising for your crypto start-up! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission and GSB alum. I think there are a lot of strengths in your profile – you must have had quite a journey being a first gen American and college grad, and working your way up to the buy-side. Your GPA may be a concern for the Admissions Committee; if there were any circumstances that affected your grades, do consider explaining them in the optional essay. I also don’t see your extracurriculars – but that does not mean you don’t have them. The Admissions Committee likes to see that you are engaged in your community. It’s also a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills. If you have volunteering activities, don’t forget to include them in your application (resume, essays as appropriate). As you put your apps together, be sure to describe what motivates you to be passionate about your career goals. And why MBA? What specific skillset or knowledge are you seeking at GSB that you aren’t learning on the job? If you can articulate this compellingly in your essays, that would be the key to your application success. If you would like to discuss your profile in more detail, feel free to schedule a 1:1 consultation with us. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!
