My origins begin in a small, war-torn European country (holding three distinct citizenships – the US being one of them). My entire life has been on the move – living on 3 different continents and moving around every few years. I have a newfound appreciation for this as it necessitated my need to assimilate into a new environment after every move.

Well, Wharton Dreamer, your dreams should really come true. This is a superb profile for Wharton. You clearly have the smarts, the work ethic and the accomplishments in your young professional life that demonstrate you would be nothing less than an asset to the Wharton School. And if Wharton, for any reason not apparent here, rejects you, you will find a welcome home in just about every business school in the world. The only way you don’t get in is not even imaginable to me: It’s showing up for the team-based-discussion at Wharton and totally flunking out. Ain’t gonna happen.
Hi Mr. Wharton Dreamer, Julie-Anne Heafey here with mbaMission. As a fellow Dartmouth alum, I’m already predisposed to root for you, but that profile makes it even easier to give you great odds. I agree with John, you seem like a standout applicant and I think you’re well positioned to find success at Wharton….particularly if you can make it clear that it’s your top choice. Work the network– attend (online) events, reach out to contacts (you must have some with your background), and get super specific in your essays on why it’s the best school for you. Of course, nothing’s guaranteed in this unpredictable process. If you’re interested in consulting, many top schools will get you there, so see …

If you’re interested in consulting, many top schools will get you there, so see what you prefer in terms of teaching style and location…I’d add a couple more names if I were you. I don’t think any school is particularly out of reach, including Harvard and Stanford, but those essays are a bit tricky, so make sure you add some deep reflection if you’re targeting those programs in particular. Good luck!
Wow. Impressive. Good for you. Why aren’t you applying to HBS?
