Hi Ms. Dream Big, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. So it sounds like you’ve got very solid experience in PM, solid stats and a testament to your hard work as the first to graduate in your family. I like that you have been involved in DEI at your company as this is experience all programs are looking to expand. Hi Ms. Dream Big, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. So it sounds like you’ve got very solid experience in PM, solid stats and a testament to your hard work as the first to graduate in your family. I like that you have been involved in DEI at your company as this is experience all programs are looking to expand. Unfortunately, you’ve chosen the most competitive business school as your target (and only apparently). For Stanford in particular, it is important to have sometime a little extra or special – and while it might be there, it is not jumping out from your profile. Stanford is looking for students that want to change the world, organizations and/or people. It is not clear to me how you would (or want to) do that as a PM in bay area or as an entrepreneur. I would suggest you spend time evaluating what impact you want to have on the world and how that relates to your goals. Do you want to stay in the finance industry? Fintech? Or transition to something else? In the limited information we have here, I am not seeing the passion that I have felt from my successful Stanford clients. I also never like to see a 1 school strategy. I would suggest you open your list to other schools – on the West Coast you might look at Haas, UCLA, USC or Foster. All will have solid inroads to PM in the Bay Area. Wish you the best of luck!
