Candidate:

Ms. Poet To CPA

About Me:

I was born and raised in Taiwan, and have been living and working in Canada for 10 years. I was a published poet with national and international awards before becoming a CPA (5+ years exp. in real estate). I work as a marketing strategist and copyeditor through my consulting practice. I am a big believer in community building with a track record of involvement.

As an older applicant, I understand the importance of “Why an MBA now?” I want to highlight how an MBA program will allow me to bridge my knowledge gaps in operations, strategy, and policy studies to solve the complex issue of housing affordability. I could continue working at my firm but an FT MBA will provide an accelerated path to achieve my goal.

Hi Ms Poet to CFA! Now, for an ambitious achiever like you, I hope you do not find my 20% rating discouraging. In fact, this is about the highest I’d rate anyone for a program like GSB with the most competitive acceptance rate of 6%.
