In undergrad, I had several social impacts and international development experiences, which tie to my long term goals. I plan to apply for the class starting in Fall 2022 when I have 4 YOE.

As a 2nd year analyst on a team of analysts, associates, and managers, I was given an internal team promotion which involves being 2nd in command to team lead, reviewing team member deliverables, & managing an analyst rotational program. I was also one of ~60 globally selected to align with a new company business line for practitioners in my space.
Short-term, I would like to become a Product Manager in a B2C organization or an Innovation Strategist at an innovation consultancy (e.g. Ideo). Long-term, I would like to be a leader within a Social Enterprise Advisory/Consulting organization (e.g. Acumen) or a Social Impact Design Studio (e.g. Dalberg Design).

Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. I think you’ve got the start of a very well-rounded profile – early progression in a distinctive career (innovation design is such a fascinating field!) , a track record of meaningful extracurricular involvement, and a very strong GRE score that will go a long way towards offsetting your lower undergrad GPA (which was in a tough major anyway). Since you’re considering the possibility of joining another innovation consultancy post-MBA if you don’t make the move to the brand side, you’ll want to make it very clear in your application how the MBA will help you take your career to the next level (since moving to IDEO pre-MBA might not be out of the realm of possibility). But with strong application execution, I think you’d make an excellent candidate, particularly for the Kellogg MMM program. Very best of luck, and please get in touch to discuss further once you are ready to apply.
Hi Ms. Social Innovation, this is Donna Bauman and I am glad to weigh in on your profile. What an impressive GRE you have! I’m so busy looking at that—that your 3.15 isn’t as noticeable. Plus you have chemical engineering and I think you’ll get a little less scrutiny for having such a challenging major. I could see you being a good candidate for the Kellogg MMM program. As a Kellogg alum, I see you as a good fit for the school because of your exceptional extracurriculars and community leadership. I encourage you to apply even now in this R3 for Kellogg as they are still taking applications through June and while your work experience is on the light side—if ever there was a year …

I encourage you to apply even now in this R3 for Kellogg as they are still taking applications through June and while your work experience is on the light side—if ever there was a year when this could be overlooked—this is the year. I think Tuck has potential as well. I’ve worked successfully with many people on their Kellogg applications and would be glad to help you think about your leadership experiences and what might be a good topic for the first essay. Please reach out for a free consult if you want more guidance. I’m very impressed with your profile and see potentially Northwestern purple skies ahead for you!
