Graduated with a degree in politics&communications, I’ve spent the last 5 years of my career in the area of data analytics and business intelligence, from an e-commerce company, to a leading global brand research consultancy. Outside of my job, I’m an avid writer, having co-founded a Melbourne-based magazine for young aspiring Indonesian writers.

Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. What an intriguing profile you have! In addition to your career progress in marketing research, I love that you co-founded a magazine within an interesting niche. On your resume and application, make sure you fully convey the impact you’ve made via the magazine and your pro-bono work in addition to your professional impact.
Goals: it sounds like you’ll be a great fit for product marketing based on your understanding of the consumer, your analytical skills, and your ability to tell a story based on data. The MBA programs always like to understand what companies you’re targeting immediately post-MBA, so make sure you identify a couple companies that have recruiting relationships with Judge.
As for Judge, I think …
As for Judge, I think you will be a competitive candidate as long as you meet (or exceed) your target GMAT score. You might also look at other UK programs: Oxford Said, Cass, Imperial, Warwick (and, as a bit more of a reach, LBS). I hope that helps -best of luck! 🙂
Hi Ms. Story-Teller to Data-Cruncher, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. I love your mix of poet & quant! And it sounds like you have a unique story to tell across data analytics and story telling – which essentially comprises Product Marketing. Your stats are competitive for Judge, assuming you hit your target GMAT score of 700. You are in the sweet spot for years of experience at work – and sounds like you’ve had some strong leadership and advancement. And I like the duality of your community/leadership with your magazine running over a long period of time and more recent response to the challenges of small businesses. In terms of your goals, short term is clear – you might add an example company to show …
Hi Ms. Story-Teller to Data-Cruncher, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. I love your mix of poet & quant! Your stats are competitive for Judge, assuming you hit your target GMAT score of 700. And I like the duality of your community/leadership with your magazine running over a long period of time and more recent response to the challenges of small businesses. In terms of your goals, short term is clear – you might add an example company to show you know the Indonesian tech space and signal as to whether you are more interested in helping a more established tech company (eg. Google) in Indonesia or a start up. Since you want to go (back?) to Indonesia post-MBA, you will want to show that you have a network that you can leverage to as there will not likely be a lot of established recruiting in the area. I’d also like you to think about where you want to be long term/aspirationally – CMO or CPO for a Indonesian tech start up? This just needs to be directionally indicating and show that you have thought about where your short term career fit into your long term goals. I think you will be very competitive at Judge – and never like to see a 1 school strategy. Would suggest you also take a look at schools like Imperial, Said or IMD. Best of luck and reach out if I can answer any questions.
