In my most recent role, I was brought on to design and implement and entirely new business unit for the organization. Within six months at the organization, I made strong connections with internal and external stakeholders, and was able to successfully approve and begin implementation of this new unit, winning praise across the management team.

Post MBA Goal:

I hope to gain the financial and operations skills that I am currently lacking to help me grow as a leader within the organization and field. Post-MBA, I hope to progress to a higher level of leadership, and I ultimately want to start my own social enterprise to improve women’s health.

    You already know your weak point. It’s that well-below-average GPA at UCLA of 2.8. It certainly doesn’t disqualify you for an admit but it means everything else about your application needs to be solid. You note that your undergrad experience was “challenging.” Not sure if that means you didn’t spend enough time on your academic work or if you were distracted by some sort of personal tragedy you had to deal with. If the latter, you have a perfect excuse for saying that your undergraduate transcript is not an indication of your academic abilities.
