COLUMBIA BUSINESS SCHOOL POSTED AN EARLY DECISION DEADLINE OF OCT. 7

Columbia Business School, meantime, has established an Oct. 7th deadline for applying to its January-term, which allows candidates to complete their MBA in 16 months without an internship. Columbia said its early decision round for entry in August of 2016 also is Oct. 7. That round is for candidates who want to go to Columbia above any other school and results in a binding decision. The regular decision deadline is April 13, 2016. Columbia has a rolling admissions process so the earlier an applicant complete an application, the earlier he or she receives a decision.

The school will have three required essay questions on a candidate’s background, long-term goals, and how being in New York City will impact a person’s experience at Columbia.

The three essays:

Through your resume and recommendations, we have a clear sense of your professional path to date. What are your career goals going forward, and how will the Columbia MBA help you achieve them? (Maximum 500 words)

Columbia Business School’s location enables us to bridge theory and practice in multiple ways: through Master Classes, internships, the New York Immersion Seminars, and, most importantly, through a combination of distinguished research faculty and accomplished practitioners. How will you take advantage of being “at the very center of business”? (Maximum 250 words)

CBS Matters, a key element of the School’s culture, allows the people in your Cluster to learn more about you on a personal level. What will your Clustermates be pleasantly surprised to learn about you? (Maximum 250 words)

The application also requires a 50-word answer to “What is your immediate post-MBA professional goal?”

We’ll update the list below as more schools provide info on their new deadlines.
