limitless learning

There’s always more to learn. But if we had to whittle it down, a major area of learning for managers would be how to make decisions surrounded by people with different points of view. It follows that learning models that focus on this are a good bet.

In addition, managers today seek modular formats in a shorter period of time.

We can bring many attitudes to learning. So what does it mean to take a “limitless” one? It’s all about remaining people-centered in a world that is more uncertain than ever and that offers so many options from learning with technology to working in myriad different contexts.

Blended learning has become a popular way for managers to learn as it allows them to combine taking part in person in learning programs and following up at their own convenience with the rest – any time, any place.

Here are three ways to approach learning with an attitude that keeps you grounded in these times of flux and endless opportunity, and helps you get the most out of your own learning while ensuring interaction with others.

Look Actively To Others

Always seek conversation and debate, discover new connections, and seek a durable network. The ability to collaborate with people whose points of view differ from your own has never been more important and makes all the difference in a business leader.

You can always develop your critical thinking and peer-to-peer interaction, which is worth much more than just reading the theory. It will all feedback into your ability to make decisions.

Practice Makes Perfect

Did you know you forget 90% of what you learn if you don’t put it into practice? How can you avoid doing this? Coaching, company projects, role play, presentations…. Simulate learning situations among your team that they can apply to the real world.

Make the Tech Work for You

Remember: technology is a means, your learning is the end. Technology brings people together and facilitates interaction with other humans. Don’t lose sight of this.

Embrace cutting-edge virtual classrooms and soak up all that has been so quickly set up by business schools the world over in the last year to make remote learning an unforgettable experience. Choose from face-to-face, hybrid and online classes and get the best out of both worlds.
