Set to begin in the summer and fall, the new offerings are a 1-Year MBA, an Online M.S. in AI for Business, an Online M.S. in Marketing, and an Online M.S. in Economics. “It is our ongoing mission at Eller to provide real-world education and present high-level opportunities for our students,” says Karthik Kannan, dean of the Eller College and Halle Chair in Leadership. “Each of these new programs distinctly meets a growing need in the world and is designed to equip graduates with an advantage in today’s competitive market, whether entering the workplace or continuing their careers.” CAREER-FOCUSED & FLEXIBLE Three of the four new degrees have asynchronous online delivery; all offer accelerated schedules to minimize time away from the workforce. “Eller College of Management continues to offer cutting-edge, market-relevant graduate programs that create lifelong journeys for students emphasizing leadership, learning and impact,” Pamela Jorden, assistant dean of Eller graduate programs, tells Poets&Quants. “Each of our new graduate programs are designed to meet the needs of working professionals, and to minimize time away from workforce while offering programs that meet the needs of the ever-evolving business market.” Just as important: All four programs offer access to Eller’s faculty and connect students to the University of Arizona alumni network of more than 300,000 worldwide. ABOUT THE NEW PROGRAMS The Eller 1-Year MBA, previewed last December as a downsizing of the school’s two-year program, is designed as an on-campus, accelerated program for students seeking to gain business skills and re-enter the job market within one year. It includes core business courses, hands-on learning experiences, networking opportunities, and career development support. The three other new degrees are online: The Online Master of Science in AI for Business is a STEM-designated degree that can be completed in as few as 12 months. Courses include data mining, machine learning, generative AI for business, deep learning, policy graphs and networks, and ethics of AI. Students can apply these skills in areas such as healthcare management, cybersecurity, and digital commerce. The Online Master of Science in Marketing is a 100% online, STEM-designated program offering two tracks: Marketing Analytics and Brand Management. The asynchronous format allows students to continue working while completing the program in as few as 16 months. The curriculum includes foundational marketing coursework as well as track-specific electives. The Online Master of Science in Economics is a STEM-designated program that focuses on the application of economic analysis in digital markets, policy, and data-driven decision-making. The 100% online structure is designed to support working professionals and can prepare students for roles in sectors such as technology, finance, consulting, and government.
