Hi Mr. Big 4 Banker, It must have been quite a journey going from a post-Soviet country to Canada! Kudos as well on your two Masters degrees! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission. I think you have a lot of strengths in your profile – strong professional track record, solid academics, and unique personal story. That said, your GMAT score could be a concern for Admissions – the average GMAT for Booth is around 720. If you have an opportunity to retake it, that will boost your chances. Another area that you will want to address is you have more work experience than the typical MBA applicant. Be sure to articulate why you need a MBA to help you get into investment banking – what specific skills and knowledge are you seeking at Booth that you are not learning on the job? This is especially given your strong finance work experience and already having a graduate degree in Finance and another in Economics. If you can articulate this compellingly in your essays, that would be the key to your application success. If you would like to discuss your profile in more detail, feel free to schedule a 1:1 consultation with us. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!
