Hi Mr. Big Tech Engineer, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. What a time to be in NY and a college senior! Hi Mr. Big Tech Engineer, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. What a time to be in NY and a college senior! STEM candidates are part of who deferred programs were built for – so glad to hear you are considering. Your stats are extremely strong – which will be a strength for you as we tend to see slightly higher stats in deferred candidates. Sounds like you’ve got some exciting work lined up post-university. So where I’d want to dig further would be your leadership at NYU or within the community during your time at NYU. Because schools don’t have extensive work experience to draw upon, your leadership at school can give evidence to your leadership potential. Talking about the impacts you had as an intern could add to this story. What sort of impact did you have as a research assistant or with your piano club. In the limited info in your profile, this would be my opportunity for you. That said, there is no harm in applying! Just to make sure you know, since it is on your list, that Yale’s Silver Scholars program is set up a bit differently than other deferred programs, so make sure it works with your plans. I think your chances will be on or slightly above the average acceptance rate for schools – keep in mind GSB average acceptance rate is 5%. Reach out if I can answer any questions. Best of luck.
